Deepam-2 Free Gas Cylinders (Andhra Pradesh)
Deepam-2 is the Andhra Pradesh government's free cooking gas scheme. Eligible families get three LPG cylinders free every year, one in each four-month period. You pay at delivery and the full amount comes back to your bank account within 48 hours.
What is Deepam-2?
Deepam-2 (Deepam 2.0) is one of the Andhra Pradesh government's welfare schemes for women. It was launched on 1 November 2024 to make cooking gas affordable for poor families. About 1.55 crore households were targeted when it started.

Who is eligible?
- Families in Andhra Pradesh with a rice card.
- An active domestic LPG connection.
- The gas connection, rice card, Aadhaar and mobile number must be linked and verified.
- An active bank account linked to Aadhaar, so the refund can be credited.
How it works
- Book your cylinder with your gas agency as usual (phone, app or SMS).
- Pay the cylinder price when it is delivered. Delivery is usually within 24 hours in towns and 48 hours in villages.
- The full amount you paid is credited back to your bank account within about 48 hours.
If the money doesn't come
- Check that your Aadhaar is linked to your bank account and the account is active for DBT.
- Check that your gas connection and rice card are linked to the same Aadhaar.
- Contact your gas agency, your village/ward secretariat, or the civil supplies toll-free number 1967.
