Fee Reimbursement & Post-Matric Scholarships (Andhra Pradesh)
In Andhra Pradesh, college students from poorer families can get their full tuition fee paid by the government (RTF) and a yearly maintenance grant for food and hostel costs (MTF). Applications go through the Jnanabhumi portal with the help of your college.
What is fee reimbursement in AP?
Andhra Pradesh runs two kinds of post-matric support for students after Class 10, in ITI, polytechnic, degree, engineering, medicine, PG and similar courses:
- RTF (Reimbursement of Tuition Fee): full fee reimbursement, covering tuition, special fees, other fees and exam fees fixed by the competent authority.
- MTF (Maintenance): a yearly grant for food and hostel costs: ₹10,000 for ITI, ₹15,000 for polytechnic and ₹20,000 for degree and higher courses. It is credited to the mother's bank account.
Earlier these were called Jagananna Vidya Deevena and Vasathi Deevena. Applications and payments are handled through the Jnanabhumi portal.
