PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (First Job)

PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana rewards young people who get their first formal job with PF (EPFO). First-time employees get up to ₹15,000 (one month's PF wage) in two instalments, straight to their bank account, with no separate application.

What is PM-VBRY?

The Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana is the Government of India's employment-linked incentive scheme, run through EPFO. It started on 1 August 2025 and covers jobs created up to 31 July 2027. Part A rewards first-time employees; Part B rewards employers who create new jobs.

Latest update

On 19 June 2026, about ₹2,400 crore was released under the scheme. According to an August 2026 government release, over 72 lakh first-time employees have joined the formal workforce since August 2025, and more than 15 lakh have already received the incentive.

How much do first-time employees get?

  • One month's EPF wage, up to ₹15,000.
  • 1st instalment (up to ₹7,500): after 6 months of continuous work.
  • 2nd instalment: after 12 months of work and completing a short Financial Literacy Programme.
  • A part of the incentive may be kept in a savings instrument for a fixed period, which you can withdraw later.

Who qualifies?

  • Your first ever PF contribution is for August 2025 or later (you were never an EPF member before).
  • You joined between 1 August 2025 and 31 July 2027.
  • Gross wage at joining up to ₹1 lakh a month.
  • You complete 6 months with the same employer.

What you must do to get paid

  1. No application needed. The incentive is based on the PF returns your employer files every month.
  2. Verify your UAN with Face Authentication in the UMANG app. Without this, no payment is processed.
  3. Link Aadhaar to your bank account and enable DBT. Payment is made through the Aadhaar Payment Bridge.
  4. Stay with the same employer for 6 months, and make sure your employer files PF returns on time.
  5. If face authentication fails, visit your nearest EPFO regional office.
There is no fee and no agent involved. Payment comes only from the government to your Aadhaar-linked bank account.
