What is Rajiv Yuva Vikasam?

Rajiv Yuva Vikasam was announced by the Telangana government in 2025 to help unemployed youth from SC, ST, BC and minority communities set up self-employment units, with the government paying most of the cost.

Current status (15 October 2026): About 16 lakh applications were received. Sanction letters were announced for June 2025 but the rollout was stopped after complaints about ineligible names in the list, and in April 2026 the scheme had still not been implemented. In September 2026 the Deputy Chief Minister said the first phase, for units costing up to ₹1 lakh, will start on 19 November 2026, with beneficiaries selected under the District Collector. No money has been paid yet, and the final list has not been published. Larger units (₹1–4 lakh) have no date.
