What is the scheme?

Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa gives ₹12,000 a year to landless agricultural labour families in Telangana, in two instalments of ₹6,000, paid by DBT to the bank account of the head of the family. It was launched on 26 January 2025, along with Rythu Bharosa, Indiramma Indlu and new ration cards. The Panchayat Raj and Rural Development department runs it.

Who is eligible?

  • Families with no agricultural land. If any family member holds agricultural patta land, the family is not eligible.
  • The family must have an MGNREGA job card and must have done at least 20 days of work under MGNREGA in 2023-24.
  • The family is the unit, identified through Aadhaar and the ration card.

What has been paid

  • On 26 January 2025, the first ₹6,000 was paid to families in one village per mandal.
  • Payments then stopped because of the MLC election code. On 26 February 2025, ₹39.98 crore more was paid to labourers in the erstwhile Ranga Reddy and Mahabubnagar districts, where the code was not in force.
  • News reports put the total at about 83,420 families and ₹50.88 crore by the end of February 2025.
  • We have not found any official report of payments to the remaining families, or of a second instalment, as of 24 October 2026.

What you can do

  • Make sure your Aadhaar, job card and bank account details match and are linked; mismatches kept many families out in 2025.
  • Ask at your gram panchayat or MPDO office whether your name is on the beneficiary list.
  • Register on e-Shram and see PM Shram Yogi Maandhan for a pension.
There is no online application or fee for this scheme. Don't share your Aadhaar, bank details or OTP with anyone who offers to "add your name" for money.
